Breaking Barriers in Physics

Physics has a reputation for being one of the most intimidating classes students take in high school, but it doesn't have to be. At All Girls' Prep, we believe that confidence is built through preparation, and a strong start can change the way a student experiences an entire course.

This two-week program meets three times each week. During the first week, students build the foundational skills and prerequisite knowledge that make physics click. In the second week, we'll preview the concepts they'll encounter in the first unit of their high school class, so the material feels familiar before they ever step into the classroom.

The course is taught by Megan Fitzwater, who holds a degree in Astrophysics and is passionate about helping girls discover the beauty of the subject. Her goal is to help girls walk into their physics class feeling interested in the subject and confident in their ability to succeed.

Breaking Barriers in AP Calculus AB

AP Calculus AB is a demanding course, and many students need more support than they can get during the school day. This program is designed to function like weekly office hours: a small-group space where girls can bring homework questions, review the material they are learning in class, and work through difficult concepts with expert guidance.

Students will meet once a week throughout the semester, with the program continuing into the spring. The fall semester includes 16 classes for $960. We created this format to make consistent, high-quality support more accessible to students who may not need—or be able to commit to—weekly one-on-one tutoring.

Each session will be shaped by what students need that week. They can come with specific questions, review upcoming content, or get help making sense of a topic that did not fully click in class. Sessions will be recorded for students who are unable to attend, and a discussion board will give them a place to post questions between meetings. Megan and the other students in the group can help them think through the problem rather than leaving them stuck until the following week.

Just as importantly, students will become more comfortable asking for help, using the resources available to them, and learning alongside other girls who are working through the same challenging course. We want this program to feel supportive, collaborative, and much like the office hours they will eventually encounter in college.

All Girls’ Prep SAT Course: In Preparation for the August 2026 SAT

Our SAT prep course is designed to help students prepare with purpose and confidence for the August 22, 2026 SAT. This course is intentionally kept small, allowing for a more personalized experience where students receive focused, individualized instruction.

Over the course of the program, students complete 8 focused math lessons and 6 targeted verbal lessons, building the critical skills needed for both sections of the test. All sessions are recorded, so students can easily catch up or review material if they miss a lesson.

At All Girls’ Prep, we combine expert instruction with structured practice and intentional confidence-building. Every lesson includes homework to reinforce learning, and by the end of the course, students will complete two full-length SAT practice exams to track progress and sharpen test-day strategy.

Taught by experienced female instructors, our course supports students academically and emotionally — helping them walk into SAT day prepared, poised, and confident.
