Kyle Kleiman
Educator

Kyle Kleiman has been tutoring for over seven years. He is currently pursuing his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and received his bachelor of science from the University of Michigan. Kyle was also the receipt of the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar/Athlete Award for his high school, given to the school’s top student athlete. Kyle’s experience as a current medical student gives him unique insight into the approach of multiple-choice testing. Kyle has tutored students of all academic levels, from kindergarten prep to MCAT prep. His areas of focus are SAT/ACT prep and AP Biology. His experiences include Curriculum Director for a student SAT/ACT tutoring organization during college, where he wrote the entire curriculum, and several years of tutoring for several other reputable tutoring firms. Kyle also worked as a student facilitator, a position analogous to a teaching assistant, for introductory biology courses during his undergraduate years. He also currently holds a position as peer tutor in his medical school, where he tutors his colleagues in pharmacology courses. Kyle is currently ranked near the top of his medical school class. In addition to serving as a peer tutor, Kyle was elected Treasurer for the local Honors Fraternity (Sigma Sigma Phi) by his peers. He was also selected by faculty to serve as an Education SIM Intern, a program that facilitates medical education using high-fidelity simulators and mannequins. He recently was awarded the Alliance President’s Scholarship by South Carolina Medical Association, given annually to one student from VCOM on an academic merit basis. Kyle has also been published several times in academic journals for his undergraduate work in cardiovascular research.
